About Us

I (Vaidya Dilip Gadgil) got admitted to the Ayurvedic course in 1974. I developed interest in Ayurveda & decided to devote all my energies to Ayurveda due to my Guru Vaidya M. V. Kolhatkar. Unfortunately he passed away in an accident in 1992. He initiated the Trishkandha Kosha project. He was a very good academician, teacher, researcher, practitioner & above all a very good Guru! We established a trust in his name .We have two major functions of this trust every year.1) Guru-paurnima 2) The death anniversary of our Guru (6th November). We arrange lectures of the well known scholars on these occasions.

I myself developed interest in Ayurveda & Sanskrit too! I had an opportunity to take up postgraduate studies in both of these faculties. I was a teacher in Ayurvedic College for nine years. Then I got engaged in research, academic, administrative work at Tilak Maharashtra University (Deemed University), Pune. I am practicing Ayurveda last 28 years.

My wife, Mrs. Madhavi Gadgil completed her course from Ayurvedic College, Ahamednagar. She is practicing Ayurveda since 1982. Her area of expertise is gynecological problems, problems associated with beauty. Her area of research is diet of children specially from 2.5 years to 5 years of age group.

After completion of the Monumental & Historical project namely "Ayurvediya Triskandha-Kosha" in a span of 19 years, I have now taken voluntary retirement from the University, with very big plans in my mind.

The very first plan is on its way of realization. We (myself & wife Madhavi) have established "Niramaya Ayurvedic Research & Consultancy Pvt. Ltd.". Through this company, we are establishing an "Association for Prevention of Diseases" emphasizing on Cancer, Heart Disease & Diabetes. The basic theme is to Prevent these diseases at Primary & Secondary level & also prevent their complications. We have launched a website www.health-ayur-world.com for the same. It contains a Questionnaire that assesses the Health Status in a holistic manner, considering all aspects of life. The questionnaire is in two forms, Express & Elaborate. The Express Questionnaire is totally free. It is very helpful to those who have been recently diagnosed as Cancer, may be currently under conventional treatment or in disease free state or may be in terminal stage with a progressive disease. The program finds out the lacunae & suggests appropriate measures to combat them. It also provides a list of Service Providers at a global level to help them. The same is the case of Heart disease patients, may be Diagnosed as Ischemic Heart Disease (IHD), might have undergone stress test, angiography, angioplasty or even By-pass surgery. They all can benefit from the website. The program is also beneficial to Diabetes patients for prevention of complications like Nephropathy leading to Chronic Renal Failure (CRF), Retinopathy leading to Blindness. The next generation of these patients is prone to these diseases i.e. Cancer, Heart Disease, Diabetes due to heredity. They can benefit through the website for primary prevention.
